Hello Superstar gym owners. I’m back with another coffee fuelled video in the home office. AKA the meals area at home which just so happens to be the warmest part of the house. And there’s enough room here for my computer and all of my bits and pieces.

I’ve been working at my own concepts and methodologies about how people can get what they want in their lives, and get stuff done in their businesses. And I’ve distilled it down to three words, three concepts, three areas, maybe three things that we need to all be aware of. And I want to go through those three things, because I think it’s very important that people on the journey of building something amazing that helps other people understand these three fundamentals.

The first one is perspective. You have to have the ability to remove yourself from what’s happening right now in your business, and in your life. Step back, get a thirty thousand foot view, find some time to see it from the outside rather than from the inside because we can get really confused about what’s going on. We can get overwhelmed, we become very anxious, we can get burdened down with fear and worry. And if we just remove ourselves from that and get some perspective, we can find that potentially what we were agonising than over what were worrying about, isn’t all that big a deal.

You can do this, by allowing yourself sometime off from your business, by creating time just to be by yourself, or by regularly practicing meditation, and my recommendation to you is if you’re gonna do the meditation thing, try 20 minutes a day. It might not give you perspective immediately, and I don’t suggest you go into meditation with this desire to achieve perspective, it’s something that just happens, but you need to implement something to get you out of what’s going on, to get you out of the forest where you’re just focusing on leaves on trees, so you can see the whole forest and you can see what’s going on. Hope that analogy makes sense.

The second thing is clarity. And when we’re in running around in our lives and our business, we can lose that clear idea of what we’re trying to achieve. And it does relate back to number one, to perspective. The idea about clarity is quite often we think we don’t know what to do next, or we are worried about making a decision because it might be the wrong decision. So let me give you a point to on clarity.

Clarity comes from taking action, if you don’t take action and you just think, there’s no way for you to get clear on whether that action will actually work, you can’t ascertain what’s going to happen. What you need to do, is take an action and then you can test and measure that action, and if it works, do it again. If it doesn’t work, do something else, and you can always refine what’s going on. But if you don’t take action, there’s no way you can get clarity in what you’re doing. So don’t just sit there like a deer in the headlights, wondering what to do next, take action, and that will give you clarity.

The third thing that may be the most important in the whole list, is accountability. Who holds you accountable for what you do and don’t do, in your life and in your business? If you’re on a personal development path, or you want to become a better human being, or you want to communicate with people on a better level, or you want to have stronger relationships… Who’s helping you through that? Who’s keeping you accountable for getting better? If we go down to a more specific level, and we look at your business… Who’s keeping you accountable for reaching the goals in your business? For having a certain amount of money in your bank account? For understanding what’s going on in your business? For delivering a good service?

If it’s not you who’s keeping you accountable, you need to find someone to help you do that. Now that can be a mentor that you discover, that may be paid or unpaid, it might be a friend, it might be someone who’s done it before that’s just gonna help you out. You need to be accountable for your own actions. And this comes back to taking responsibility, for not being a victim, and there’s a whole lot wrapped up in there. And we can get into that in another video.

But for today, I just wanted to outline that there are three areas, in life, in business that you really need to pay attention to, and that’s:

  • Perspective,
  • Clarity and
  • Accountability.

Now, if you have a different opinion, or whether you agree or whether you don’t agree, or if you have something to add, jump in and comment. Comment on the blog, comment on Facebook. Wherever you found the video, pop in a comment. I’d really be happy to have a dialogue with you and find out what you think is important. To allow you and maybe that you can share this to other people to allow them to get what they want in life.

So that’s my three things, Perspective, Clarity, Accountability. I’m gonna have some more coffee. I’m gonna have a great day, hope you do too.

Go and fill your gym, bye for now.
